The purpose of this role is to provide guidance and support to users of the Bank’s Data Governance Systems supporting Data management responsibilities; monitor compliance in line with the Data Governance Policies; and assist Divisions in Data lifecycle management and in defining and maintaining data management plans. This role sits in the Bank’s Data Governance Team.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the work of the Data Governance Team, taking ownership of relevant deliverables, to support the delivery of high quality, technically accurate outputs.
- Provide advice, guidance and support on all matters relating to the management of data and records by actively liaising with divisions so that Data management policies/ processes are understood and embedded as intended. Participate in inter-divisional working groups, as they arise, to contribute your specialist knowledge so more informed outcomes are realised.
- Develop and disseminate written guidance and recommendations on Data management topics to CBI Users and management, so they are fully informed of developments and are equipped with the necessary information to make decisions as required.
- Develop and implement the Central Bank’s Data retention plans on the Data Systems and support Divisions to ensure Data is structured and managed in line with the Bank’s Data Governance policies and retention schedules.
- Review and update Data structures, metadata standards and business area procedures to ensure the Bank’s Data is managed in line with the Data Governance policies and retention schedules in the Data Systems.
- Provide and interpret monitoring and compliance reporting with accordance with the Bank’s Data Governance Framework & Policies, to contribute to the delivery of informed objectives.
- Contribute to Data management projects and initiatives, participate in Data Governance Team led change management and training activities, and share expertise, to ensure that the necessary skills, competencies and knowledge are being developed and leveraged as appropriate.
- Represent the Central Bank on relevant fora as appropriate, to contribute to national and international developments.
- A degree in IT, business, Data management or a related area or equivalent professional experience
- Relevant experience in a relevant role or alternatively relevant industry/specialism experience
- Certifications such as AIIM, ARMA, DAMA, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, APMG or equivalent are desired
- Proven experience in development and improvement of data management policy and processes.
- An understanding of the Bank’s structure, functions, and business environment or a similar regulatory environment
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to proactively source relevant information
- Strong drafting and presentation skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively to communicate complex policy problems and positions.
- Proven ability to actively participate at external and internal meetings and influence outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and motivate and develop staff where relevant.
