The OR /HOLDING ROOM Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the ! nursing care for a designated group of patients. The Registered Nurse supports and implements the philosophy, goals and standards of JFK Medical Center, the Nursing Department and assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients´ status. The individual shall display competence and render care/treatment for patient age groups including, Infant, Adoloscent, Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric.
Acute hospital experience preferred plus 1-2 years of OR experience.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Demonstrates effective communication skills. Demonsrates the ability to successfully complete orientation and all associated competencies.
Licensure/Certification/Special Skills: Current Registered Nurse license by the State of New Jersey. BLS required within completion of unit based orientation. CNOR pre! ferred .
Additional Information
Weekend and/! or Holiday Rotation may be required.
