CAPE REGIONAL PHYSICAL THERAPYON SITE PHYSICAL THERAPY SUPERVISOR Licensed Physical Therapist JOB DUTY Supervises Licensed Physical Therapists,! P.T. Techs, Receptionist, and ancillary staff in an out-patient P.T. prac tice with multiple sites. Evaluates and plans the intervention on patients for physical therapy integrating the appropriate techniques of examination, history taking and systems review for musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular/pulmonary and integument. Ensures plans are appropriate to patient's specific age group: neonates (0-1 mos.), infants (over 1 mos.-12 mos.), toddler (12 mos.-3 yrs.), pediatrics (3 yrs.-12 yrs.) young adult (12 yrs.-18 yrs.), adult (18 yrs.- 55 yrs.) and geriatrics (55 yrs. and older).Re-evaluates and/or re-directs interventions to reach therapy/patient goals; incorporate new clinical findings or address patient failure to respond to previous interventions. Applies diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional ability tests and documents in a timely manner to the referring physician. Maintains license to practice physical therapy in State of NJ and repo! rts any change in licensure status immediately to the Director! .Maintaines requirements for continuing education including minimum contact hour requirements and clinical education days per NJ State Licensing requirements.Applies appropriate supervision techniques to physical therapist Techs in keeping to the NJ PT Practice Act.Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: DEGREE(S): Graduate of an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Physical TherapyLICENSE(S): Must possess (or be eligible for) a current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of NJ.
