Detailed specification about this occupation opportunity kindly read the description below. Qualifications: Current NJ licensure as (RD) registered dietician. C! ertified Diabetes Educator credentials (CDE) by the National Board of Diabetes Educators. Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition. Minimum of one year of recent CDE experience in diabetes mellitus. Pediatric experience a plus. Experience in developing, planning and coordinating developmentally appropriate, culturally-sensitive diabetes education for pediatric patients and their families, group classes and other educational programs. Strong interpersonal skills; bilingual a plus. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Experience with insulin pumps; training and management of patients on pumps, and download and analysis of pump data.
Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the delivery of diabetes self-management training and medical nutrition therapy to pediatric patients and their families referred to the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology for individual and/or group education on an outpatient basis. They must be able to function! effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team providing ca! re to pediatric patients with diabetes and their families in an outpatient diabetes program.
