The Certified Tumor Registrar is responsible assuring that the SBMC Cancer Program operates in compliance with the regulatory guidelines of the American College of Surgeons/Commission on Cancer, New Jersey State Cancer Registry, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Quality Oncology Program Initiative, and other SBMC program initiatives.

Requirements:
High School graduate, Associates preferred. Certified Tumor Registrar. Experience: 1-5 years experience in cancer registry abstracting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, ICD-O coding, SEER Stage Coding, AJCC TNM Staging, FORDS Manual and Collaborate Staging. Prior inpatient and outpatient coding experience using ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 preferred.

Completion of all Orientation requirements of Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
