RN Pediatrics Per Diem
Location: Freehold, New Jersey
Description: CentraState Healthcare System is looking of RN Pediatrics Per Diem right now, this position will be reside in New Jersey. Detailed specification about this position opportunity kindly see the descriptions. The Pediatric unit has 15 beds. There are 9 large private rooms, a large playroom and a Ronald McDonald Family Room. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5.
The RN utilizes the nursing process to administer culturally sensitive, patient-focused care to assigned patients that is congruent with ANA standards, the NJ Practice Act, the Joint Commission, professional standards and Nursing Department Policies and Procedures that are evidence-based. The RN is a member of a staff that includes the Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, Multi-Skilled Technicians, and Unit Secretaries. A patient-focused, family-centered model of care utilizes a multi-disciplinary team approach.
All RN shifts are 12 hours. The RNs do not float out of the MCH units.
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved program for Registered Nurses
- Current license to practice in New Jersey
- Two years experience in specialty preferred
- Satisfactory completion of the specialty specific pharmacology test
- American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support training is required
- Any specialty credentialing required to be achieved within the first year and maintained thereafter include: CSMC IV Certification, PALS and CPR.
