Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Conduct comprehensive medical evaluation and/or chart reviews for alleged victims of child sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect;-Provide medical consultation for child protective services (CPS), law enforcement (LE), law guardians (LG), the courts; provide consultation services for hospital personnel and private pediatricians;-Provide expert testimony in both civil and criminal courts;-Provide education and training for the medical community, CPS, LE, and community on child maltreatment;-Participate in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDT);-Provide on-call services 24/7 for hospital, CPS, and LE;-Renders an opinion or second opinion for CPS, LE, LG, and courts.-Current NJ RN License-Current NJ APN-NP Certification-Masters Degree in Nursing-BLS required, maintains ACLS, PALS and NPR as appropriate to specialty area-Experience in pediatric nursing for at least one year (preferred)-Experience with child abuse and neglect (preferred)-Successfully completion of orientation programs-Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable disease, risk of physical injury from direct patient care, operation of equipment and hazardous chemicals.
