Masterâs Level Dance/Movement Therapist - Per Diem

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT) Required, Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT) Preferred
- Masterâs Degree from ADTA approved program
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) a Plus
- Minimum 1 year experience in the field
- High comfortability level in working with a wide range of needs and diagnoses including but not limited to:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Intellectual Disabilities
- Developmental Delays
- ADHD
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Anxiety and Mood Disorders
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Highly organized, independent, detail oriented, and solution-focused
- Ability to perform independent tasks and duties as assigned
- Comfortable working with families and collaborating with other professionals, including our interdisciplinary team of Neurologists, Neuropsychologists, Medical Assistants, Developmental Pediatricians, Sleep Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, Behavior Analysts, Licensed Professional Counselors, Art Therapists, and Music Therapists
- Interest in building case load
Job Description:
The Dance/Movement Therapist will practice under ongoing supervision of The Director of Creative Arts Therapies and will provide direct individual and/or group dance therapy. The Dance/Movement Therapist will be responsible for:
- Conducting intake sessions
- Conducting individual and group dance therapy sessions
- Writing Assessment Reports, Treatment Plans, and Progress Reports in a timely fashion
- Submitting fee slips for services rendered in a timely fa shion
- Communicating clearly and effectively with patients, caregivers, and their families as needed
- Assisting the Director of Creative Arts Therapies with administrative duties related to documentation
- Managing patient data
- Participating in weekly team meeting
- Participating in weekly interdisciplinary meeting
- Collaborating with other professionals involved in patient care
- Providing educational presentations to staff, other local facilities
