PD Unit Representative

Atlantic Health System is seeking candidate for per diem Unit Representative positions in the Pediatrics Unit at Morristown Medical Center. The shift for these positions vari! es and include one weekend per 4 week schedule. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Prior Unit Representative experience in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Candidate must be available to attend six days of STAR Registration classes 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The essential functions of these positions include: answering phones, responding to patient call bells, keeping patients' charts in order and preparing charts for discharge, greeting visitors and families, ordering patient tests electronically, communicating with other departments as well as all level of staff, registering patients as needed; floating between PICU, Pediatrics, Pediatric Day Hospital and Infusion Center; ordering supplies, assisting during emergencies as a runner to get supplies and blood as needed, and other duties as assigned.
