More complete informations about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Nemours is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team in Voorhees and Egg Harbor, NJ. The succes! sful candidate will work 4 days in Egg Harbor/Voorhees and 1 day in Wilmington, Delaware at AIDHC.

To keep pace with the changing health care environment a! nd build a healthier future for our children, Nemours has emba! rked on a multi-phase expansion to create a children's hospital like no other in the region. Upon completion in June 2014, the hospital will include private patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new expanded Emergency Department.
Assist with the overall care of children requiring orthopaedic services at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations, and formulate assessment and treatment plans of pediatric patients, primarily in the outpatient setting.
Order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmacological agents and non-pharmacological treatments, and promote wellness and prevention of health problems.
Perform procedures such as pin removal, suture removal, cast removal,and splinting, and assist with outpatient or operative procedures on an as-needed basis.
Triage and respond to phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurs! es and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of these children.
Perform in the role of surgical first assist in the OR when needed.
Communicate with appropriate medical staff for purposes of consultation, referral and coordination of patient care.
Work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
Graduation from physician assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education (AHEA) and Accreditation of the American Medical Association (AMA) in the state of Delaware or eligible for licensing.
Licensure as a physician assistant by the State of Delaware.
The standard hours of this position are 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, although the hours may vary as this is an exempt position. Hours may change based on business needs.
