Marketing Business Development Specialist

Position Summary :
Responsible for marketing and promoting Bancroft’s fee for service programs and supports. These services include but are not limited to therapeutic interventions, educational, vocational, residential, day treatment services, professional evaluations and consultations, and other specialized healthcare supports, in accordance with strategic planning priorities. Facilitates the necessary action to effectively build and further the development of solid relationships that convert to actual admissions to attain strategic objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Develops an action plan and conducts prospecting and direct marketing activities to secure viable referrals and admissions to Bancroft’s Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Education, Pediatric, and other fee for service programs. Referral sources may include school districtrepresentatives, hospital and rehabilitati! on case managers, social workers, insurance companies, dischar! ge planners, human services organizations, trust officers, families etc.)

2. Responsible to achieve or exceed census targets for assigned programs, diversify census and payer mix, build and grow census and quality mix by developing referral relationships with existing referral sources and developing new admissions.

3. Maintains a thorough knowledge of Bancroft products and services, and acuity capabilities .

4. Works in cooperation with Senior Director of Marketing and internal executive team members to to identify niche opportunities, implement market diversification and market share strategies, and exceed assigned performance objectives and quotas. . The role will be responsible for successfully meeting and exceeding referral and budgetedadmission objectives.

5. Maintains an educated understanding of all payer sources and their impact on revenue.

6. Develops and maintains a network of relationships and partnerships with case ma! nagers, education professionals, trade and provider associations, funding sources, financial planners, attorneys, trust officers, and related referral sources

7. Hosts, coordinates and delivers presentations at meetings, seminars, conferences, tradeshows and other informational events which may include facilities tours. Develops and delivers informational sessions, marketing presentations, webinars, etc. for potential referrals.

8. Works jointly with the Director of Marketing in the development and finalization of various marketing materials to meet the specific needs of contacts within the region supported.

9. Develops, maintains and provides required documentation/tracking of marketing efforts, call reports, conference attendance, scheduling, etc. to marketing department management, and adheres to approved budget constraints throughout the course of marketing activities.

10. Utilizes and follows the approved business development and mar! keting strategy and methodology including the timely and proper CRM adm! inistration in Sales Force.

11. Will become an acknowledged expert on all Bancroft programs and their related markets in all areas relevant to internal and external customers: such as, clinical and health economics.

12. Presents a positive image of the organization to external contacts that is consistent with its service mission and philosophy. Builds and maintains effective relationships with external contacts and referral sources to promote the Bancroft organization, its programs and services.

13. Maintains effective working relationships with internal organization and program management. Provides information to management concerning referral trends, regulatory and reimbursement changes and other information pertaining to the market of potential admissions.

14. Maintains an awareness of current and future market trends by attending external conferences, learning workshops and professional seminars, journals, etc. Remains current of exis! ting, new or changed programs or services. Recommends modifications to existing policies and procedures to contribute to the overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness of marketing/admissions.

15. Performs other related marketing and admissions responsibilities, as required. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and assignments as defined by organizational and departmental needs.

16. Willingly and effectively cooperates with Bancroft, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.

17. Maintains a safe and respectful environment, free of abuse, neglect, or exploitation; does not allow weapons, threats, bullying or intimidation.

18. Reports any violations to the appropriate individual as soon as the incident occurs.

19. Demonstrates Bancroft’s core values of RESPECT in the! performance of position responsibilities.

20. Ability to trav! el within local region approximately 60% of time .

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in business development, sales or marketing preferably within the healthcare or rehabilitation environment. A strong track record of developing new businesses and managing relationships. Case manager, registered nurse experienced desirable.

Special Skills :
Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and implement marketing and business development strategies and procedures, as well as the ability to identify and secure referrals and admissions for the organization. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills. Effective interpersonal, organization, and project management skills. Effective influence and negotiation skills required. MS Office proficiency required. Sales Force or other CRM software knowledge preferred. Valid driver’s license require! d.
