Pennsauken, NJ
Salary Range - $40,000 - $43,000 based on education and experience.
This is a full time position that reports to the Program Coordinator. This position entails overseeing the development and implementation of a screening tool from existing instruments for the referral of childbearing women at risk for substance abuse and other factors during the prenatal, postpartum and interconceptional period. Coordinates ongoing provider training around screening and referral, conduct related Quality Assurance activities. Identifies relevant system issues and participates in collaborative problem solving. Incorporate FAS! /FAE public education and promotes public awareness of service! s and issues associated with substance abuse during pregnancy.
The qualifications for the position are:
Bachelor's degree in field of social services or related field, or RN (bachelor's preferred). Certification by the NJ Drug and Alcohol Certification Board as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Certification in Addiction (CARN) by the Addiction Nursing Certification Board. Valid driver's license/insurance and car. Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills. Experience in substance abuse treatment services. Clinical experience in a family outreach or perinatal setting. Interest in maternal and child health; commitment to healthier communities. Knowledge of community resources and sensitivity to community issues. Good organizational skills; ability to prioritize work load requirements. Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work well with a variety of individuals and facilitate! decision-making. Desire to expand knowledge base. Successful candidates for employment by SNJPC must undergo a criminal background check and driver's license review.
